The Middleton Township Fire Department held a “pinning of the brass” ceremony on March 17 to recognize four new firefighters who recently completed their onboard probationary periods and two newly promoted officers. Chief Steve Asmus administered the oath of office as township officials, family members and other attendees officially welcomed firefighters (L-R) Kyle O’Connell, Nick Skotynsky, Evan Hiser and Michael Operacz to the ranks of the MTFD, and commended Clint Weckesser and Matt Zeigler on their promotions to lieutenant and captain, respectively.
