Middleton Township offers a unique blend of tranquil country living with business, educational and leisure opportunities. As the name implies, Middleton Township is located in the heart of Wood County, Ohio, at the crossroads of Interstate 75 and State Route 582. The township was established in 1832 and enjoys a rich agricultural history while integrating growth in a variety of commercial, manufacturing and distribution markets.
Township residents are supported by an EMS department staffed 24/7, as well as a fire department manned with 30+ highly trained personnel. Our road department maintains over 53 miles of township road year-round. Within its boundaries, five school districts − Anthony Wayne, Bowling Green, Eastwood, Otsego and Perrysburg − serve area residents. And, Bowling Green State University is located less than five miles southeast of the township.
The scenic Maumee River borders the township to the west, offering world-class walleye fishing, kayaking and birding, while the Village of Haskins and nearby communities Toledo, Perrysburg, Bowling Green and Findlay provide a wide range of entertainment, shopping and amenities. In addition to Haskins, the township’s other established villages of Dunbridge, Dowling and Sugar Ridge, along with countryside properties, offer numerous alternatives for rural living.
