A “pinning of the brass” ceremony was performed on March 2, 2022, at the Middleton Township administrative building as part of the swearing in of new EMS Chief, Jerry Saunders, and Assistant Chief, Ron Bogedain. Both of these veteran first responders have exhibited extraordinary leadership and emergency medical skills in the many years they have served Middleton Township and surrounding communities ‒ Saunders, for nearly 27 years, and Bogedain, 23 years. They were officially promoted by the township Board of Trustees in late 2021 and have been serving in their respective positions since that time.
